Feasibility Study Report & Next Steps

The Feasibility Study Report & Recommendations from GRACE Philanthropy have been completed. It can be downloaded via the button at the bottom of this post. Below is the scope and schedule of the work we need to do over the course of the month of February:

Fundraising to Begin in Mid-March:

Our architect firm, GastingerWalker&, has requested that we wait until March to begin our fundraising for the campaign in earnest. Delaying the fundraising a month will give them the time they need to provide us more precise pricing for all the projects we are wanting to pursue this campaign, as opposed to the rough estimates we currently have.

By waiting until mid-March to earnestly begin fundraising, we will ensure that we have an accurate understanding of the costs of these projects, and how much we need to raise for them.

Determine Set Order of Projects:

Before fundraising begins in earnest, we need to properly format the projects we wish to pursue in the order in which they will be completed. For example: foundation of church first, windows second, elevator third, etc. This proper ordering will prevent confusion and division on where the funds go, as well as set a clear goal for us all to pursue. A survey to garner your collective input should be released shortly.

Deus Vult:

We need to form a prayer team comprised of parishioners who will be specifically praying for this campaign throughout the fundraising process. We also need to determine a campaign prayer, a patron saint of the campaign, and a spiritual theme for the campaign.

Support the Priest (he clearly needs help):

Fr. Andrew alone will be asking for donations to the campaign. This approach aims to both take the burden off of parishioners and personalize the asks through in-person contact with the pastor. We need to form a group of parishioners to serve as the support council of the campaign, helping Father to manage the information and prepare for these meetings regarding donations.

Host Sites for Meetings:

We need to form a list of parishioners willing to serve as host for gatherings at their homes. These gatherings will be small group meetings with Fr. Kleine to discuss the campaign, provide information, and answer questions.

More info to come and thank you for your prayers.

Ite ad Joseph.

Thank you and God bless,

- Fr. Andrew Kleine, Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish
