Corey Werner has served on the Parish Council since January 2016. He is a geography professor at the university, and his wife, Kathy, is a registered nurse. They have two children who serve at mass and participate in PSR and Youth Group. Corey can usually be found attending the 8 AM Sunday mass and enjoying coffee and donuts afterwards.
Gary Schmidt has been on the Parish council since January 2016. He has been employed as a police officer with the University of Central Missouri Police Department since 1992. Gary’s wife, Tonni, just completed her 21st year of teaching with the last 4 as a 7th grade Language Arts teacher at Warrensburg Middle School. Gary and Tonni’s daughter, Tori, will be a third grader at Martin Warren School, and their son, Grayden, will be entering Kindergarten at Maple Grove School in August. Gary and his family usually attend the 8AM mass. They have been members of the Sacred Heart family for over 10 years.
Avery Deevers has been on the Parish Council since 2016. He is an Agriculture Education Teacher at Crest Ridge High School. This will be his 6th year teaching. He typically attends Saturday, 5pm Mass. He also teaches 5th grade PSR and assists with teaching the high school classes. Avery also assists in celebrating Mass by serving as an Eucharistic minister, or a server/cross barrier when needed. Feel free to stop him and ask any question you have at any time.
Kim Dyer has served on Pastoral Council since February 2018, and has been a member of Sacred Heart Church for 13 years.
Scott Munsterman and his wife, Cheryl, have been members of the parish since 1998. They have three beautiful children Brianna, Zach, and Ryan. It is wonderful to be part of a parish that is so welcoming and inviting to anyone who enters the door and desires to share a common faith!
